Terms of Service

Welcome to Smart Clean (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our valet trash collection, pet waste removal, and related services (“Services”). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. Service Description

Smart Clean provides scheduled valet trash pickup, pet waste removal, and related waste management solutions for multifamily communities, property managers, and residents.

2. Service Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services.

  • Services are available only in designated communities and service areas.

  • Participation may require compliance with community rules set by property management.

3. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure safe and efficient service, customers agree to:

  • Place trash and/or pet waste securely in tied bags provided or approved by management.

  • Double-bag pet waste and ensure bags are leak- and tear-resistant.

  • Set items out only during designated collection hours.

  • Not include prohibited items (bulky furniture, appliances, electronics, hazardous materials, broken glass, oversized boxes, etc.).

  • Comply with posted service guidelines provided by Smart Clean or your property management.

4. Prohibited Items

The following items will not be collected:

  • Loose trash or liquids

  • Hazardous or medical waste (e.g., sharps, needles, chemicals)

  • Broken glass or sharp objects

  • Furniture, appliances, or other oversized items

  • Construction or renovation debris

  • Large unflattened boxes

5. Service Limitations

  • Missed pickups due to non-compliance with these Terms (e.g., unsecured bags, late set-out) may not be rescheduled.

  • Weather, holidays, or safety conditions may impact service schedules. We will notify property management of service delays when possible.

  • We reserve the right to refuse collection if items pose a safety hazard to our staff.

6. Payments & Fees

  • Payment terms are determined by agreements with property managers or individual residents.

  • Fees may apply for repeated non-compliance, excessive waste, or damage caused by improper bagging or placement.

  • All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.

7. Liability

  • Smart Clean is not liable for trash, bags, or items left outside of designated pickup times or areas.

  • We are not responsible for damages caused by leaks, improper bagging, or items prohibited under these Terms.

  • Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Termination of Service

We may suspend or terminate service at any time for:

  • Repeated non-compliance with these Terms

  • Unsafe or hazardous conditions

  • Misuse or abuse of the service

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on our website. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which the Services are provided, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
